This guide explains what Find Care does and how to use it, step by step, in plain language.

Find Care helps you find nearby hospitals fast, compare options, and start navigation in-app. It is a discovery and routing tool — not a medical advice service.

What Find Care does

  • Find hospitals near your current location.
  • Show distance-sorted results (closest first).
  • Let you filter by type (Hospital, Clinic, Maternity, Centre) and search radius.
  • Open a hospital detail page with address, phone, and hours.
  • Start in-app navigation to a selected hospital.
  • Save hospitals on your device for quick access later.

Before you start

To get the best results, allow location permission when your device asks. If location is off, some nearby and route features may be limited.

On first use, you may see onboarding prompts (for example a short safety notice or optional name prompt). Read and continue to enter the main experience.

Home screen walkthrough

3.1 Top actions

  • Open search: opens the hospital list and filters.
  • Emergency call: quick dial action (for example 112).
  • Theme button: switch light/dark or other themes.

3.2 Primary cards

  • Search hospitals by Nigerian state: fastest way to view nearby hospitals.
  • Use a Maps link or coordinates someone shared: paste a shared location and find care around that point.
  • Open assistant: ask product-use questions directly in-app.

Finding hospitals

When search opens, hospitals appear in a list sorted by distance. Use filters at the top to narrow results quickly.

  • Type filters: All, Hospital, Clinic, Maternity, Centre.
  • Radius filters: 1 km, 2 km, 5 km, 10 km, 25 km, 50 km, or custom radius.
  • Show more: loads additional hospitals when available.

Hospital details page

Tap any hospital card to open details. From there you can:

  • View full address and hospital type.
  • Check phone and opening-hours status when available.
  • Use the call action to contact the hospital.
  • Use the navigate action to open the route screen.
  • Use the save button (heart/bookmark) to keep it for later.

Saved tab

The Saved tab shows hospitals you bookmarked.

  • If you have no saves yet, the page shows an empty state hint.
  • Saved items stay on your current device unless your product version adds account sync in the future.

Profile tab

Use Profile to manage personal app settings:

  • Set or update your display name for local greeting.
  • Change appearance/theme.
  • Quickly jump to saved hospitals.
  • Open app info pages (disclaimer, privacy, support/contact).

Privacy and safety basics

  • Find Care is built anonymous-first for core use.
  • Location is used for distance and routing features; manage it from device permissions anytime.
  • Find Care does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment advice.
  • In emergencies, call emergency services immediately (for example 112 in Nigeria).

Quick troubleshooting

10.1 I can’t see nearby hospitals

Check location permission, internet connection, and radius filter. Try a larger radius (for example 10 km or 25 km).

10.2 Route is not updating

Confirm GPS is on, re-center on your location, then restart navigation.

10.3 Saved list is empty

Save a hospital from its detail page first. Saved data is local to this device unless account sync is added in future versions.
